Play with purpose, as The Village Co. launches a dynamic fundraising venture to empower new Mums
This month The Village Co. will launch its largest philanthropic funding initiative to date, asking families to add JINX, the family party game, to their shopping list this festive season. Families can play for a purpose, as the fundraising venture will empower over 350 disadvantaged new Mums, through the organisation’s bag-gifting program which provides essential, practical supplies at a crucial time.
Founder and CEO of The Village Co., Stephanie Malan, explains that the ongoing, heartfelt generosity from the community, as well as corporate partners and an incredible tribe of volunteers, is critical to the delivery of the bag gifting program to new mums and their babies.
“The support from far and wide for The Village Co. is incredibly inspiring, and I am deeply touched by the outstanding generosity from the JINX corporate partners. Funding from the JINX initiative will drive The Village Co.’s program delivery in 2022 and directly influence its success,” says Stephanie.
Stephanie, who has thoughtfully curated the gift bag program adds, “empowering new mums with kindness and generosity is The Village Co.’s reason for being. The unfortunate reality for many struggling young families is that vital supplies, essential in the early days of parenthood, are not readily accessible.”
“All too often these mums leave hospital completely unprepared and overwhelmed, with no ability to provide even basic items like nappies, wipes or blankets for their tiny baby. And, for the mums, they may not have access to the basic hygiene items that they need to feel healthy and pampered in that peri-natal period. This is a time when your village is critical,” continues Stephanie.
The Fantastic Factory and The Healthy Collective, are the major benefactors behind the JINX venture. Each partner approached The Village Co. after hearing about the incredible work they do for at-risk and vulnerable families in South Australia.
Nick Tsamaidis, Managing Director of The Healthy Collective, is a strong advocate and long-time supporter of The Village Co., “we are incredibly proud to support The Village Co. in their mission to deliver critical supplies to new mums and their families. This purpose aligns exactly with The Healthy Collective’s vision of creating the best possible health outcomes for every individual Australian.”
In a major win for The Village Co., The Healthy Collective has also secured vital ongoing donation points in partnership with thirty-three Terry White Chemmart pharmacies, beyond the JINX campaign period. Allowing the community to directly donate new products in store that will be used in the gift bags.
JINX will be available to purchase in select South Australian Terry White Chemmart pharmacies, for a limited time from 13 December for $29.99.
